The Air Castles is an electronic music collaborative effort between Nathan Rich and I which started in 2007. The debut album Transoceanic was released in 2007 and features several compositions created during the Maelstrom EP sessions, restructured and remastered by Rich. Our creative process will remain the same with future efforts; sometime in 2010, The Air Castles will release a second album featuring a collection of remixed tracks which first appeared on the albums Sorry, Doc., Lakewater Digits and Trouble Above.
Modus Operanic is my solo electronic music project since mid-2005. From the beginning, my musical style and songwriting ability remained very inconsistent, as I acquainted myself with the use of FL Studio and finding a musical niche. Beginning with The Maelstrom EP in 2007, the music produced is considered for use in The Air Castles efforts. My songwriting finally hit its stride roughly around the production of Sorry, Doc in 2008. Originally to be made solely as demos for future Air Castles compositions, I was happy enough with the results to continue on making music on my own account.
Since the release of Trouble Above in mid-2009, the project has been on hiatus as I'm currently in between digital audio workstations (I can no longer produce in FL Studio since I'm now on a Mac).
