I currently attend college at the School of Visual Arts in New York City for computer art (animation
and visual effects), working mostly in Autodesk Maya, Adobe After Effects and Photoshop, and Final Cut. In spare time
I do both personal and commissioned design work, and I also create 3d abstract artwork.
My first experience working in digital art came in late 2004 when I began making small banners
and forum signatures using Photoshop. Over time as I familiarized myself with the program, I started making larger,
more artistically inclined pieces of 3D abstract art. Each piece integrated abstract renders made in Cinema 4D,
first stock, then my own. I uploaded my artwork on a consistent basis to the artist community website DeviantArt,
first under the username "T3hAc1dp0Urs", and currently "Nexxia". I have since recieved Daily Deviation features
on two of my artworks, exposing me to a much larger audience on the site and encouraging me to keep pursuing my
talents. Between 2005 and 2007 I also involved myself in other art group communities, making pieces for themed
online exhibitions, and making over a dozen art pieces in collaboration with one or more other artists.
in 2008 and 2009 I began taking advertising art classes at my high school and rounded out my digital art experiences,
working in Illustrator and InDesign for various clients, both school-related and real-world, making logos, posters,
packaging, and other design. I've exhibited my artwork in several local art exhibitions in my hometown, both
school-related and not.
In early 2009 I was accepted to SVA, expecting to graduate in 2013 as a computer animation major.
I consider music secondary to art and mostly just a hobby. Since 2005 I've created electronic music under the projects Modus Operanic and The Air Castles, and I'm a self-taught guitar player and composer. All of my music is free and self-released.
